Rester Ran was a male Human Jedi Padawan turned Dark Jedi during the Rise of the Empire Era. Ran was killed alongside his Master in the Senate Building in 20 BBY. Despite him being decapitated, Count Dooku recovered his body, he was an old friend of his Master Yangon Ra. Ran was placed in a recovery chamber for days, then fitted with a cybernetic neck joint and mask. He was wiped of his memory and told that he was murdered by the Jedi. He began to work for the CIS behind the scenes and took on a Zabrak Dark Jedi apprentice, Remar.
