Formerly called Sportovní hala, it was renamed in 1999 to Paegas Arena, in 2002 to T-Mobile Arena. On September 1, 2008 it was renamed Tesla Arena as part of a naming rights contract for three years with the Tesla electrotechnical conglomerate. The Ice Hockey World Championships were held there, in whole or in part, in 1972, 1978, 1985, and 1992.
