The Holy Ydoran Empire , also known as Holy Empire Yudora, existed in Ivalice 1,200 years prior to the plot of Final Fantasy Tactics. Saint Ajora Glabados was secretly working against them until Germonique reported him to the authorities. Ajora was executed, but a large wave destroyed the place of power of Pharism, which was then the dominant religion, resulting in the rise of the Church of Glabados.
