Dean Martin (1917-1995) was an American singer, entertainer and actor. In Vic Fontaine's holographic program, Fontaine met Martin and Frank Sinatra when Vic was performing at the Sands Hotel in 1958. The three later played blackjack together. (DS9 episode: "His Way") When Vic first met Taran'atar in 2376, Vic joked about Taran'atar's taciturn nature, commenting that Martin and Sinatra might have competition for playing their "straight men" act in Las Vegas.
