The Republic of Ireland was a European Country in the North West. Like the United Kingdom and France it was devastated by the H5N1Z virus. Its survivors are now spread across Europe, and unlike their two counterparts do not have a concrete Government in Exile set up overseas. The infection had spread by refugees arriving from the British mainland, as well as a Southward invasion from infected in Northern Ireland. Before the outbreak, it had a population of about 4 million people. It is now believed to be less than 200,000 although even that figure is believed to be an exaggerated estimate.
