Scandinavia, officially the Kingdom of Scandinavia, is a country defined as being part of Northern Europe. It is situated on the northern part of the continent, and shares borders with Russia and Central Asia and Denmark and Southern Sweden. Scandinavia is a member of NATO and of the European Union. Its population is 84 million. The largest city is Vilnius and capital is Trondheim. Present-day Scandinavia has one of the fastest growing economies in the European Union. Scandinavia became a full member of the Schengen Agreement on 21 December 2007.
