Thomas Guthrie nickname Tyler Guthrie was the father of Cannonball, Husk and all of their siblings. He worked as a coal miner to support his family Thomas died from a lung disease he got from working in the mine. Sam his oldest son took his fathers job and helped his mother take the family.
