Peter may be stubborn and arrogant, but he has a very kind heart and cares very deeply for Wendy and her brothers. Peter Pan is not at all afraid of Captain Hook, and spends the entire film learning to love. He is played by Jeremy Sumpter, who received a Young Artist award for his performance. He is probably more nuanced than the Disney character, and his movie hews very closely to the book.
