When Sid the Science Kid first debuted on PBS in the fall of 2008, original promotional spots were produce to promote the series. These promos featured Sid introducing himself and showing some big discoveries related to the show's curriculum. Three 30-second promos were produced focusing on exercise, magnification, and non-standard measurement. The promos aired on PBS throughout the summer of 2008 and were posted online by PBS's marketing department.
