The Great Pyramids were Senpet monuments which copied the tomb of the first Pharaoh. They were massive, square based triangle shaped buildings. The constructions were begun in the year 100 to become religious symbols devoted to the Ten Thousand Gods. The mummified corpse of each Pharaoh was buried underneath a giant pyramid.
