Nat's was a basic dirnker's bar in Los Angeles, California, located on Cherokee Avenue, in the same block as the Skylark motel. On 6 April 2000, an assailant entered the bar around lunchtime, killing the bartender, one police detective and severely injuring another detective in an apparent robbery. The assailant was not identified or caught. Later the assailant bought Nat's and converted it into a trendy nightclub.
