Lisa Moore appeared on Coronation Street in August 2001 as the Police Liaison Officer who visited with Toyah Battersby following her rape ordeal. She returned to the programme intermittently between March and September 2016 as the mother of Lauren, a girl bullying Bethany Platt. Whilst completing her MA, she took on the role of script development officer for "Rainy City", an independent Manchester-based film production company, where her role was to help develop new writing talent as well as liaising with some of the country's most prestigious directors.
