While Pit was eaten by Hades, he had to find a way to escape. Eventually Pit encounters Hades' Heart. After the Heart saw Pit, it began to flee from him in hopes to protect itself. The Heart attacks by creating a duplicate of itself. The duplicate will search for Pit, and if it spotted Pit, the fake heart will processed to chase Pit and if it gets to close, it will explode. While that's going on, the real Heart tries it's best to keep away from Pit. If Pit managed to hit the Heart hard enough, the Heart will generate a red aura around it, making it indestructable for a short period of time. While the red aura is around it, the Heart will processed to ram Pit at great speed. After a long, and frustrated battle, Pit manages to defeat Hades' Heart, causing it to explode. Despite Hades' Heart
