Kasshralhyot was the most severe, and correspondingly rarest, sentence that could be passed on a citizen of the Golden Empire. It could be ordered only by the Sovereign, and as of 140 ABY, it had been dealt out only once, on the treasonous Consul Vessyk in 127 ABY. Due to the intense demands of some of its component actions, it could only be performed by an atypically powerful Force user. Asked by her brother Tariun why she had chosen such a complex and ruthless form of execution, Rin responded that, "Even if there is life in the Force after this one is done, he will not know it."
