The RG1420F features a basswood body with a flamed maple top bolted to a maple and walnut Wizard Prestige neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with small dot position markers. Components include dual Ibanez humbucking pickups, an Edge Pro double locking tremolo bridge and a locking nut. Unlike most Prestige models which have a barrel jack which is secured internally, the RG1420F has an externally mounted output jack with a square plate.
