It was founded on July 16, 2009 by citricsquid, and has been hosted by Curse, Inc. since November 15th, 2010. It is powered by MediaWiki (version 1.26.2). As of March 19, 2016, Minecraft Wiki has almost 5,000 articles. On January 26, 2016, an official Minecraft Wiki application was released for iOS and Android.
