Jafana (pronounced jah-FAH-nah), nicknamed Jafa (JAH-fah), was the nursemaid of Petranne and Elsren Balitang. She was one of the servants who had to leave the Balitang household when they lost royal favor and had to leave into exile for Tanair. At the beginning the children (Petranne and Elsren Balitang) were sad that they had lost their nursemaid. She was mentioned in Trickster's Choice by Elsren Balitang. He said that he hated Aly and wanted Jafa.
