In an alternate timeline, General Grün was a fanatical leader of the Nazi Party that had taken control as the planetary government of Earth, as the Erdenreich state. It was under Grün's command that the Erdenreich began to spread into space in sleeper ships, leading to the civilization of Alpha Centauri being overrun and made servants of the Nazi forces. (Last Unicorn RPG module: All Our Yesterdays: The Time Travel Sourcebook) It seems likely that this is intended to be a counterpart of Colonel Phillip Green, as "grün" means "green" in the German language.
