The Jem'Hadar strike cruiser was a warship used by the Gamma Quadrant Dominion in the 24th century. These ships were equipped with burst impulse engines. These engines would give the ship a sudden but brief burst of speed. This allowed the ships to burst through defensive lines quickly, which made them a good weapon for striking at convoys or at starbases. (DS9 game: Dominion Wars)
