Flapp was the veteran sergeant of a small group of mercenaries that was once part of a much larger outfit known as the Rams. Flapp was short and squat. His broad face had a twisted nose, a dented jaw, and a filthy beard and mustache. One ear was cabbaged ear while the other was split horizontally. Like all Rams, he wore a charcoal-grey cloak held in place by a silver clasp depicting a ram's head in profile. Flapp carried a long sword made of blued Aren steel.
