Tandin Kohner was a Human male ace starfighter pilot and military officer, fighting for the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the Alliance to Restore the Republic, and lastly, the New Republic. His kill count by the end of his career was 362. A veteran of the Clone Wars, Kohner became a staunch critic of the Galactic Empire, which, he believed, was proof of the corruption that had enveloped the Galactic Republic. During his career, Tandin befriended several other aces, including Dragomir Jovanović. By the time of the New Republic, Tandin held the rank of lieutenant colonel and served as a tactical adviser to Dragomir, who was the head of their mercenary unit, the Saber Wing. Kohner was killed during the Yuuzhan Vong War, in the battle to liberate Coruscant.
