Lesser Powers are special spells or abilities that generally cost little magicka to cast and can be cast without any limitations (e.g. Silence spells). Some races are born with an innate lesser power, such as Khajiit, who have Eye of Night, a Night-Eye spell. The Lord and The Ritual Birthsigns grant characters born under them Lesser Powers. The powers can also be obtained through Vampirism, quests in the Shivering Isles, and some artifacts, most notably the Crusader's gear from Knights of the Nine which grant Lesser Powers when worn.
