Harmon II al-Qair was the second and last Protector of the First Protectorate, successor of Kalus I. Although his office was temporary he had aspirations to become Padishah Emperor. In 601 AG he stripped Count Abulurd III Harkonnen of his title when he refused to support him. Iason Atreides however settled the differences between the various branches of the Imperial House of Shaddam I and persuaded Harmon II to step down in favor of Audrii I.
