Hammer Valkyries, as the name suggests, carried oversized hammers to attack their foes. These hammers had a jet engine at one end of the hammer, making the hammer slam much stronger then normal. Hammer Valkyries attacked by two means, each requiring a different response. They might slam their hammer right down on Ratchet, causing a fair amount of damage if it makes contact. Another, more dangerous move they might make is spin their hammer, which causes them to spin rapidly toward Ratchet, requiring a quick response. Backflipping away from the spinning Valkyrie is an excellent way to escape the hammer. After the Valkyrie is finished swinging, it will be exhausted, leaving it vulnerable to a counterattack.
