War Bird was originally an ace American mail pilot named Tom Sharp. However, he wanted to seek out new adventures, so he got a leave of absence and enlisted in the flying forces of the Orient followed by the Spanish Air Force. He earned his nickname War Bird from his daring and courageous flying and fighting abilities. When the Spanish war ended, War Bird enlisted with the French Flying Corps and became Captain of the Eagle Squadron. In Eagle Squadron, He fought against the Germanic Sermians, especially their aces Baron Bruht and Count Manfred.
