This ability can be used to absorb kinetic energy. It can prevent movement and can be used to protect against certain attacks, e.g. stopping a bullet or slowing down a punch until it becomes ineffective. It can trap a person, preventing him or her from fleeing. It can be used to prevent damage from a crash or a fall. However, the energy which is absorbed cannot be used in any way. It cannot be converted into other forms, used to heal oneself or to live on. It merely dissipates.
