Akane Kimidori (木緑あかね, Kimidori Akane; Literally meaning "Yellow-Green Dark Red") is a fictional character in the Dr. Slump franchise. She makes her debut in "Oops! First Day at School!", the first episode of Dr. Slump and Arale-chan, which premiered in April 1981. Akane is the typical 'bad-girl' friend of Arale Norimaki, by whom she is often dubbed "Akane-chin", rather than "Akane-chan".
