It's ironic that Two-Face was formerly Gotham City's District Attorney. In his role as a lawman, Harvey Dent was well-regarded as someone who knew how to put the bad guys away. But Dent had a darker side, one that remained in check until a freak accident forever scarred the left side of his body. The trauma associated with this incident brought Harvey's evil personality to the surface, and Gotham's District Attorney became the notorious criminal known as Two-Face.
