This is the first game in the Croc series. Developed by Argonaut Games PLC and published by Fox Interactive in 1997. In Japan, the game was released as: "Croc! Pau Pau Island". The game was originally meant to be a prototype for a spin off of the Mario series about Yoshi, which is why Croc resembles the character so much.
