An item bar with ten slots is displayed on the bottom of the screen (optional). In the PC version of the game, the items in each of these slots can be equipped or used with the number keys 1-9 and 0. Consumable that occupy slots on the bar will continue to occupy it, but turn red when the last item is used. Why that is, or how to remove these red icons is unknown.
