The Aurora was a Star Dreadnought helmed by Admiral Teren Rogriss, serving in the Imperial-aligned Kuati Sector Forces. As a part of the Sector Forces, the Aurora protected the planet Kuat's shipyards in 8.5 ABY during the Galactic Civil War, a conflict between the Galactic Empire and the New Republic. During the Taking of Kuat, the New Republic's forces seized the planet Kuat even with the protection of the Sector Forces. In response to the victory, Imperial agents hidden undercover activated the Aurora's hyperdrive, sending it into Kuat's sun and destroying it.
