A younger version of the main antagonist from the rest of the Kingdom Hearts series. In Birth by Pain his younger self acts as one of the main playable characters alongside his friends Eraqus and Nexi. We see his relationship with them, including his developing romantic feelings towards Nexi, as well as his fall from grace and descent into darkness. How he became the villain that would come to threaten all the worlds.
