Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition is an adaptation of Pocket Edition made to run on the universal Windows 10 platform. It is capable of running on virtual reality devices such as the HoloLens, and has the same features as in Pocket Edition with a few other additions. It was announced on 4 July 2015 and a beta version was released on 29 July 2015 for US$9.99 on the Windows Store. People who have purchased the PC edition of Minecraft can get the Windows 10 Edition Beta for free until the game updates to the 1.0 Ender Update.
