Jean-Philippe is a French pastry chef whom Dave Gibbs's ex-wife left him for after cheating on him. She decided to start seeing him when Dave said he wanted to have children. In "The Earworm Reverberation", Dave explains that his then-wife was not a good cook until she started seeing Jean-Philippe.
