Malcolm G. Ridgway, PhD, CCE, is senior vice president for technology management at Masterplan Inc. He has been with the company for 35 years. Ridgway received his PhD in biomedical engineering from the University of Edinburgh in 1962 and was a member of the first Board of Examiners for Clinical Engineering Certification established in 1975. He was recently recognized in the March 2009 issue of AAMI News for his 50 years in the field. He was among the first six clinical engineers certified by AAMI in 1974.
