Bristol Rovers picked up their third win in four games to lift them off the bottom of the League Two table for the first time in three weeks. New signing Ryan Brunt, who had recently joined from Stoke City, was handed his Pirates debut, while Claude Davis had a debut to forget for Rotherham, after he was booked, conceded a penalty and was sent off, all in the first half. Substitute David Noble grabbed a consolation goal for Rotherham just a minute after coming on, but Rovers ended the game as deserved winners.
