The Type 3 Plagas were being experimented on in humans from Summer 2008, with research taking place on the Ndipaya and Sodibaya tribesmen who became known as Marshland Majini. By 2009 the guards working on Excella Gionne's cargo ship were also implanted with this Plaga type. Overall, Duvalia are more commonly seen in Base Majini.
