The Koiwai Expressway begins at a simple interchange with NR 2/NR 404 in Norton, FD, where it extends northwards to cross the Ulei River, and encounters a DTIA Toll Plaza, charging 7.50i to enter into downtown Koiwai. The freeway heads north through center city, interchanging with various city streets and Ivalice Boulevard, and turns to the east just after Dalmasca Street. It exits the city, paralleling Ivalice Boulevard, then intersects with NR 404, and spurs off NR 104 at the Five Points Interchange.
