Vëannë was a child who, in J.R.R. Tolkien's early stories of Eriol, resided at the Cottage of Lost Play in Tol Eressëa. The Tale of Tinúviel, the earliest version of the story of Beren and Lúthien, was once narrated by Vëannë at the cottage, on the same night that Littleheart afterwards told the tale of the Fall of Gondolin. She was named Melinir also, by Eriol.
