The Purists are a malevolent group stationed on the island of Ren Bo in The Scythe region of the Wushanko Isles who are attempting to cleanse the area of sea singers and those born with an affliction that gives a person anatomical features of a fish and other sea creatures (afflicted termed sea orphans). According to the Barmaid, they spread lies and assault and kill sea orphans, even going as far as scaring mothers into drowning their children. The group is mostly condoned.
