In 1,548 BBY, the special forces division of the Centran Armed Forces executed a black operation to assassinate Leonard Gashkiy, a weapons dealer funding a coup attempt against the Centrality's government. After the target traveled to Coruscant, the capital planet of the Galactic Republic, several operatives were dispatched to the world to survey his apartment and help the C.A.F.'s leadership decide upon a suitable attack method. After a month of observation, the commanders decided to send a detachment of fifty special forces soldiers to strike Gashkiy's residence and abduct or kill him.
