In 2003, the demon Axel hired a Tracer Demon to track Sandmen in order to obtain their dream dust. After a Sandman asked the Charmed Ones for help, they were accidentally hit with the dust, bringing their dreams to life. Seeing this, the Tracer decided that killing the Charmed Ones was a better way to earn the respect of the leaders of the Underworld. He proceeded to vanquish Axel to claim his own success, though he was blown up by Piper after they dealt with their dreams.
