CSM-5539, nicknamed Vultch, was a Clone Trooper Sergeant-Major in command of the 293rd Storm Battalion during the Clone Wars. Leading the battalion with Commander Tav, the two became very close friends. In the first year of the Clone Wars, shortly after the First Battle of Geonosis, Vultch, along with the battalion, accompanied Jedi Generals Kyle Redbreak and Echuu-Shen Jon, along with his Padawan Naat Reath to the volcanic world of Sarapin, where the Separatists had occupied after defeating the Republic forces stationed there. After a heated battle, the 293rd Storm Battalion remained on Sarapin for the remainder of the Clone Wars to defend this vital system, with several other Clone garrisons.
