Compulsive gambler Jack Pott, a kid whose obsession with betting would probably have him in a therapy group these days, first appeared in IPC's Cor!! comic in the early 1970's before being revived in Jackpot in 1979 (though, rather oddly, he wasn't actually the lead character in the title that almost bore his name). He was principally drawn by Joe McCaffrey.
