Raw lava eel are a type of fish which are caught from fishing with a oily fishing rod obtained during the Heroes' Quest. They require level 30 fishing to catch. When caught they give 90 fishing experience. They can be cooked to make lava eel at level 53 cooking, yielding 140 cooking experience, and healing 11-14 hits when eaten, depending on the player's level. These fish can only be caught in the lava deep in Taverley dungeon.
