The New Blazing Mane Pirates (新しい燃えるたてがみパイレーツ Atarashī Moeru Tategami no Kaizokudan) is a revised version of their captain's older, former pirate crew, The Blazing Mane Pirates. The crew itself is lead by Pyrite Liger, a former member of the Roger Pirates and a one time member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. After escaping from Impel Down during the chaos that ensued due to the combined actions of Monkey D. Luffy and Marshall D. Teach, Liger sailed back into the New World to restart his pirate crew from scratch.
