In Christian demonology (Late Medieval- Early Modern European), Cimeries (also called Cimejes, Cimeies, Kimaris) is a demon with the rank of Marquis of Hell, commanding 20 legions of demons. He appears as a mighty warrior riding a black horse. He is said to be able to find hidden treasures and teach the trivium (grammar, logic, rhetoric [the trivium was part of the medieval university cirriculum]). He could also make his conjurer into a mighty warrior. Cimeries is 1 of 69 demons listed in the Pseudomonarchia Dæmonum and 1 of 72 listed in the Ars Goetia (the first section of the Lesser Key of Solomon).
