You could upgrade the King Raddallin Banner by completing the other option, after which it became a King Raddallin Banner (Blessed). When unlocked, the banner provided a permanent boost equivalent to the effects of the battle horn. No more horns could be obtained after unlocking the banner and any left over horns do not stack with the banner's effect. The effects of the boost included:
