The Svear or Svea Priestesses were a cult formed by the female descendants of the Nordic priestess Svea. In 1789, they were present in Prussia, where they banished The Beast from this dimension. With the priestesses protected by an enchantment, the Beast could not attack them directly. He attempted to recruit Angelus for assistance, but Angelus declined the request and was beaten half to death before the Priestesses arrived to banish the Beast.
