Born in Melbourne, 1968, Kevin Patrick is a notable Australian comics historian. Patrick first became involved in writing reviews for local fanzines during the early 1980s, including Fox Comic Collector and The Australian Comic Reader. During this period he wrote the 'Comics Corner' column for West Australian sci-fi fanzine, Apocrypha. He has researched and written the first major history of Australian comic books of the 'modern' (post-1980) era. Entitled 'Heroes and Villains', the research was serialised in Australian Book Collector magazine between August-December 1999.
